Woke up this morning with Mother Superior feeding Lady Gray her meal worms, now you have to understand these worms are like caviar to Lady Gray, so they are rationed out, they only come in a small container about 20 to 25 to a container all mixed in with some sort of compost and they only have them a certain PetSmart stores, they cost $2.99 a container, but we don’t count the worms. Now I did find a place on line where they can be shipped in from Uncle Jim’s Worm Farm, he has Red Wigglers and Mealworms as well as Night Crawlers, and Gray Crawlers, I just think we should start raising them, but Mother Superior says no, she doesn’t want any more projects. So anyway Lady Gray is full of herself now, running all over the yard catching “things.” Anyway after breakfast this morning and my usual pot of coffee, I went outside and continued my project, taking apart the bed in the spare bedroom, cleaning it up and painting the head, foot board and the rails, while DeBora finishes washing the walls and she now painting them, the ceiling is done, after the painting, then goes in the new floor. But anyway, back to my projects, well I must have put on my “blond wig” this morning. After I cleaned and painted the footboard, I leaned it up against the oak tree in the front yard in the sun to dry, while I spray painted the rails with black paint. Then I went back in front and painted the headboard and leaned it up against the other oak tree to dry, went inside to clean my brush, was looking out the kitchen window at the front yard and here comes Lady Gray just running and going insane chasing stuff. Well I had forgotten that the front yard is full of baby or newly hatched chameleons, babies EVERYWHERE and guess who has now had her mealworms for breakfast and full of piss and vinegar and is now out front for lunch, well suddenly I realized, after going outside to see what all the fuss is about, we now have light blue baby chameleons and baby foot prints all over my head and foot board……….so, I guess when they dry I will be putting on another coat of paint, well at least in some areas. So now I go check on the rails, over there we have black chameleons…….you just can’t do anything around here without having help or becoming part of the animal, insect, and whatever else world. Hey how else can I keep myself entertained? The only thing that didn’t help out this morning was the birds, butterfly (well one butterfly tried to help, but Lady Gray got her instead) and the snakes…… well now that I think about it, I guess I can leave on the foot and body prints for decorations on the head and footboard can’t I?............lol Hope your day is as fun as mine each day, each day is different, each day is an experience and each day is a memory that I love sharing with you.
