Woke up with a thought of doing a series on The songs we sing as Christians ...... Hmmmmm sounds funny though but I will give it a shot. The purpose is not to criticize anyone but to emphasize our redemption in Christ and at the same time make loud what we have because of that redemption. I dont expect you to agree 100%. But we will consider scriptures as our thesis.. So lets get the ball rolling........ 1. There is something that makes me COME into your Presence, My Helper My Helper O, My Helper 2ce There is something that makes me Come into your Presence My Helper This is a popular Praise and Worship Song in most churches. So let consider it. In the first place we are not as Christians meant to come into Gods presence, we are always in His presence. He is in us and we are in Him. 2 or 3 scriptures to consider. a. Matthew 28:20 KJV Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. b. John 14:23 KJV Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. C. Acts 17:28 KJV For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. These scriptures shows us we are always in His presence. We dont go there, we live there and He lives in us too.
