Wolf Hearing in Sacramento CA scheduled for Oct 2 is cancelled also Due to a lapse in appropriations to support Fiscal Year 2014 operations, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is postponing the public hearings scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, in Sacramento, CA and Friday, October 4, in Albuquerque, NM. These public hearings were to take comments on the recent Endangered Species Act proposed rule to list the Mexican wolf as an endangered subspecies in the Southwest and to delist the gray wolf elsewhere. These hearings will be rescheduled when the current funding lapse is resolved and the Service returns to work. The Service hopes to be able to hold the additional public hearing currently scheduled for October 17 in Denver, CO, but will re-assess if the current funding lapse is not resolved by the end of next week.
