Wolves are now protected in MN--the MN DNR has lost control of wolf management. Here is the DNRs graphic of the wolf range. You can see Milaca (where we hunt the northern forest and heard wolves there at least four or five years ago while in deer camp). Then below that, in Sherburne county is the national wildlife refuge and they have an established and photographed pack there. Their range map is not correct at all. If you look at the other pic, the area map, you can see the refuge, and Elk River. There is also a pack there, which has been heard, sighted, and photographed. Look how close Mpls is to all this! How is this going to be okay?? This isnt the wilds of Montana or some huge national forest. The wolves are already breaching the outermost ring the Minneapolis/ St Paul metro area.
