Woman: A Crowned Glory. God said it was not good for man to be alone so He created you.. A crowned glory The body of the home A rose in the garden of the church A crowned glory it is to be you But so often are you easily forgotten Forced into a corner Told to mind your manners- See to it that you are seen and not heard Like a child You are groomed in subordinance Yes sir No sir Three bags full sir A tool - or so you are made to believe.. No ambition to good for you Man is no competition because you run different leagues So you walk your path Somehow paralyzed by conditions predestined to be of service to man Carrying the burden of silence Because you are woman BUT YOU ARE WOMAN A crowned glory You are beautiful Woven from man although not man You are strong Made for man but not to be man You are woman A crowned glory Where would man be without you? How precious are you that God should see man weak without you He knew your calling- To be help to man With the reward of mans love Without you there is no home You are a woman A crowned glory So you stand, in the background In silence As man takes the lead You give him something to lead For what is a sheperd with no flock? He loves you because of the glory that accompanies you Grace, love, humility, kindness and strength are your companions he knows he is weak without you But to be on the same level is to claim a throne not yours So be woman And bring glory to God and man You are woman A crowned glory God bless
