Woman charged over aviation offence – Terrorism Investigation Squad A woman has been charged after allegedly telling authorities that she had overheard a threat to an international aircraft in Sydney earlier this year. About 8.30am on Friday 21 March a 30-year-old woman supplied information to police alleging that she had overheard a conversation at Sydney International Airport, where three people discussed committing an act of terrorism. An immediate assessment of the threat was made by several agencies and it was deemed to be a hoax. Following a thorough investigation by the Joint Counter Terrorism Team numerous inquiries were conducted to locate the woman. On Sunday 1 June the woman was arrested at Wentworthville and then conveyed to Merrylands Police Station. She was later charged with supply false information and refused bail. The Blacktown woman appeared at Central Local Court today and will remain in custody until she reappears at Central Local Court on Thursday 5 June 2014.
