For 300 years the UK had no education for women. It was only in 1906 that it became illegal for men to lock up their wives. The last 30 years weve moved away from the industrial era and now have neoliberal capitalism. The suffragettes didnt get the right to vote for them, they got the right to vote for us. Once you have seen the truth, you cannot unsee. Every womans movement in modern history has been against male violence against women. Them: You just hate men Me: No I just cant tell the difference between the ones that are ok and the ones that arent. The third wave of feminisn started domestic violence refuges for women to escape male violence. Yet men still dont donate or buy raffle tickets if you mention domestic violence. After only a hundred years of being allowed to be educated, we now make up 60% of university students, yet still we dont get paid the same as men for the same work. 40% of women earn more than their husbands now, however not all these husbands are working. 50% of managerial roles are now filled by women, yet even women with full time house husbands, are still doing household, family and emotional work. Soon all women will be supporting men financially as well, but do we really want that? The original dictionary that become the Oxford dictionary had 17,000 quotes. 16,998 of these were by men. This is why there are many descriptions for words like prostitution, but very few, if any, derogative words for men in our language/vocabularies. There has never been any social change that women have benefited from, why would this be different now? 50% of GPs are now women, yet we are hugely unrepresented in IT and engineering, the two most powerful industries in our society. There are more men today looking for wives with secure jobs. (We really do have to be it all). 80% of accountants are women, with a new taxbot that is now in use that could make all these womens jobs redundant. Women have on average 1 & 1/2 hours less sleep a night than men due to womens work. While high heel shoes and designer bags are now an apparent sign of success for women. Where are the laws to protect them? All men have the abilty to threaten and violated us, we dont know which ones will, which ones wont. There is no litmus test.
