Women and politics? Umm Salama showed political astuteness when advising Prophet Muhammad (saw) on the treaty of Hudaibiyah. Remember also the woman who took to account Umar ibn Khattab about the limitation he attempted to place on the dowry?!...she addressed Khalifh Umar (ra) reminding him that he had no right to place a limit on that which Allah (swt) and His Prophet (saw) had placed no limits upon! Thus my dear brothers and sisters, it is obvious that Muslim woman in the Islamic system is the politician, the scholar and the jurist!
