Chances are good that she is the one that started your flowers on their journey to your table. But dont let Lisas day job in our sales office fool you. She is an accomplished floral designer who has been spreading flower love around to for over a decade. As if that wasnt enough, theres all those mouth watering truffles she makes. Yum! Want to know more about this multi-talented, INSPIRING woman? Read on... 1. Name: Lisa Gonzales 2. Position at Ocean View: Mass Market Coordinator 3. How did you get started at Ocean View: I heard about the position from a friend and I decided to apply. 4. How long have you been an Employee: 2 years 9 months and 11 days LOL. Almost 3 years J 5. What woman inspires you and why: My mother inspires me every day. She is such a strong, caring, amazing individual that is beautiful inside and out. I can’t imagine life without my best friend. 6. How has this person changed you: My mom has taught me everything I need to know in life. She has shown me that giving up is not an option and anything is possible if try your best. Growing up she instilled honesty in me, and taught me to be true to myself not matter what the situation was. I am a better person thanks to my mom. 7. What is your relationship with flowers: I am in LOVE with flowers, I have been since I was a child. My mother is a designer and I grew up watching her every move. I have been arranging flowers for over 10 years and can’t imagine my life without them. There is honestly nothing in this world that makes me happier. 8. If you were let lose in the cooler what flowers would you choose to make a bouquet and what would you do with it: I would definitely head over to the Protea first. Protea make me so happy! I would then grab some wax flower, eucalyptus, steel grass, and berzelia. I would use these flowers to make a simple yet classic hand tied bouquet. To give it more of an edge I would take the steel grass and cage the arrangement. 9. One interesting fact that you would like to share: There are actually two facts I would love to share with you. The first one is that I am a floral designer. I love flowers so much that I did all the flowers for my own wedding at the Madonna Inn. The second one is that I am an avid baker. I am most famous for my cake truffles and rocky road brownies amongst friends and family.
