Womens Basketball prepared for the holiday week by feasting in the paint this evening, earning a convincing 69-50 win over Linfield and forcing us to come up with Thanksgiving metaphors. Jenn Okonkwo (20 points, 11 rebounds) and Basha Brulee-Wills (19 points, 15 rebounds) each had double-doubles, and combined for 13 points in a 15-0 second half run that turned a 46-42 lead into a 61-42 advantage. Brulee-Wills also had two emphatic blocks (quality stuffing, if you will), point guard Alaina Woo had a couple pretty assists to Okonkwo that she passed laterally on drives to the basket (side dishes, of course), and the team had 19 offensive rebounds (lots of going back for seconds). Well let you figure out your own pumpkin pie one - weve probably overstayed our welcome.
