Womens Self Defense Class - Help Needed! Happy New Year - We need you! Fellow Parents: As you may know, CLS is sponsoring a fantastic event on January 23, 2015 from 7-10pm at the school called “Women’s Self Defense Class.” This class is being taught by Joe Dressel, the gentlemen who provides karate as an after school activity for our children. We have a need for some help with a few things for this event. This is a great way to get involved without being “over-involved” and it will help out a great event and fundraiser for the school. Specifically, we are looking for volunteers to help with the following: Helping to Organize Refreshments – The class will run from 7-9pm with a social hour from 9-10pm. This will be light refreshments only, no heavy foods, but we could really use someone who would be willing to coordinate the refreshments, donations, etc. Donations for Refreshments – We will be looking for donations for the refreshments hour. These are expected to be cookies, chips, drinks and similar light items. Help Promoting the Event – We have a wonderful flyer found on our website (click here to see it) and we need to get the word out about the event. We have many printed copies available for distribution as well. We need a few folks who would be willing to post the flyer in social media, send it to friends and also post the flyer in related businesses in the area (e.g. Karate dojos, Sports venues, Women’s groups, Event boards, etc). The more help we can get for this, even if you can just post 2 or 3 flyers at businesses your frequent, would be great. And, of course, if you know any women or daughters who would like to attend, we would love you to pass along the flyer to them. This is going to be an awesome event and has such a wonderful focus that we really would love to see it do well. We need your help to make it happen. If you can help with either refreshments or promotions, please contact either Stephenie Bowen at [email protected] or Nicole Sewell at 3sewells@gmail. We would love to hear from anyone who can help by Tuesday, January 6. Sincerely, Stephenie Bowen
