Women’s corner (All SOLID men meet every third Sundays of the month at the end of 2nd service under the gallery.) LIFE LONG LEARNING Slowly, the long Caravan Crept along the ascending road from Jericho to Jerusalem. It has taken weeks to cover more than two thousand miles. The cold nights and scorching hot days had seemed endless. The country side had been as sun baked and unpleasant as a moonscape. Worst of all were the lashing sandstorms and raging winds of the wilderness. But in her heart, she knew she must go. At home, in her Royal Palace in Sheba, she had heard repeatedly about Solomon, the King of Israel, the man who appeared to be immensely rich and unbelievably wise. The whole earth consulted Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart. And she had many questions – about her personal life, about her royal obligations about God. The way the queen ordered her priorities proves she was a wise woman. In her own knowledge and insight she wanted to know more and was willing to make many sacrifices in order to gain wisdom. Her time, money and effort were spent in attaining this goal. “1 Kings 10:1-3, 6-8, when the Queen of Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon and his relation to the name of the LORD, she came to test him with hard questions”. Arriving at Jerusalem with a very great Caravan – with camels carrying spices, large quantities…….. Solomon answered all her questions nothing was too hard for the King to explain to her……… She said to the King “The Report I heard in my own country about your achievements and your wisdom is true, but I did not believe these things until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half was told me, in wisdom wealth you have far exceeded the report I heard”. “How happy you men must be! How happy you officials………….” Brethren, as women, we love to teach, to motivate, to inform, but it all goes back to a love even deeper than these – a love of learning. You can’t live on borrowed knowledge, reading and firsthand observation will surely make wisdom yours. The desire is already there, the challenge is clearing some sports in your week where learning can become a habit. “Proverbs 4:7 says, wisdom is supreme: therefore get wisdom, though it cost all you have, get understanding”. Meanwhile there’s a lot of so-called wisdom out there that even talks about so-called God. Be sure your adopted truths and come from the one true AUTHOR (JESUS CHRIST). #theBulletin
