Wonder Standing in wonder of so many things, The butterflies’ dance, the song on the wing. The mystery within a fiery blaze, Of sunlit streams reflecting spring time days. The mighty echo of the swirling wind Catching the chatting of so many things. The eyes which glow having been morning blessed, Meadows in flower, capturing my breath. Of the taste and warmth in a summer beam, And of all the creatures in quiet streams. The hovering eagles above the hills Who’s united majesty ever thrills. The serene joy within a holy place, Where happy folk meet to share in pure grace. In empty regions where nature still blows The endless seeds which bloom, but hold no woes. The thirsty sands in a scorching shower, Of the single bloom amidst this power. The vanishing without the slightest trace Of that loving kiss, of that last embrace. The lovers that weep from a passing glance, Serenely wondering within a trance. The gentle fragrance floating on the air, While diamonds govern our infinite stare. The Paradise found in nature’s new light. The calm luxuriance of a blissful night. Of gentle faces sometimes more than mild, In the new found art, from the brightest child. Of love’s sad harvest left until the spring, Young buds that die, before their blossoming. In all the splendour of the evergreen In scented fresh woodland, where once I’d seen, Two wise men; yet they couldn’t understand… The glory of nature’s breath upon land. I’ve seen such wonders, so peaceful and more… I’ve stilled my mind amid the tranquil show. The shapes in shadows playing with my time. The paradise I’ve found within its mime. Yet nothing has touched me, so earthly blessed, As the beat of your heart amid your chest. Of our new dreams seen through parental eyes, Which out shines any woes and lasting sighs.
