Lucy CeeDurham County Council Just now · Can anyone at the council tell me why it is that the people in charge of the regeneration of Dawdon have allowed landords to have the grants when the insides of their houses need so much work Doing such as damp proofing.For years I have complained about a property adjoining my home and about 6 years ago environmental health was called in by the tenants that lived in then and the then Landlord was given an amount of time to get works done . and nothing was done because the said landlord sold the property off to someone who lives miles away and never seen the house . it was then resold to someone about 3 years ago and has stood empty for well over three years and nothing apart from the chimney stack has been repaired after i complained about it falling to bits and parts of bricks falling into my yard and out front onto path. Two and a half years ago I redecorated . This week I have paid someone to come and help with the moving of furniture to get redecorated and have wooden floors laid. On moving the unit from adjoining wall to the above mentioned property i have found a big damp patch so now I cannot get on with my work.I really think that these lanndlords should of put their houses to right before any grants were given
