Wonder what is the reason behind this pattern: Every now and then I get a call from some five-star hotel in the city, offering me a privileged membership wherein I get various types of discounted dining vouchers, and many other benefits, at so-and-so annual membership cost... On the rare occasion when I have not disconnected the call by this time, and out of curiosity I ask them to send me the details by email, invariably, without a single exception so far, the caller says, Sorry, sir, this is such an exclusive offer that we cannot send you the details by mail. Ill be happy to explain to you on the phone and provide answers to all your questions. I dont understand why none of them can ever email the offer details and insist on discussing it on the phone only.
