Wonderful, FREE resource from Gawain Weaver Art Conservation - Photomechanical Process ID Chart! The chart outlines the basic characteristics of various photomechanical processes, and serves as a quick reference for the most common image patterns. It will go through some revisions over time, and to that end we welcome feedback on any aspect of the chart. Unlike many other prints where sheen and color play a larger role, the identification of photomechanical prints is primarily about patterns and their observation under magnification.
