Wonderful News Today!! The 2 tumors on either side of Madelynns brain are, in fact, just hemangiomas-YAY!! The Pituitary Tumor, according to the Chief Neuro-surgeon at Yale, does not even exist at all! What the Oncology department mistook for a Pituitary tumor bleeding into the brain (as it was phrased to me) is no more than a luminescing fatty tissue anomaly that can occur for a variety of reasons but more than likely from her chemo as a baby. If it were a bleeding tumor she would have vision difficulty (or even blindness-yikes!) by now and she does not. (All of her visual symptoms involve confusion NOT difficulty seeing) This Doctor also feels that the hemangiomas can be addressed with a medications to shrink them-Yay again!! We can not even begin to describe how relieved we are. Anyone up for a party? :) Love and hugs to everyone of you who prayed for a good outcome! If things pan out the way he describes, we got one!!!!
