Wonderful Spark! Love David Here is my spark. A couple of years ago, on New Years Eve, I was leaving work a little bit early. The weather outside was cold and the wind was fierce. Rain clouds were formimg. I was headed to the post office to drop off mail, when I passed a man on the service road riding a bike, against the wind. I instantly thought, man he is really, really struggling. I thought about offering him a ride, and putting the bike in the back of my truck, then tried to talk myself out of it. You know, a woman, picking up a strange man. Hmmmm. This strong urge came over me that was saying, do it. The more I tried to talk myself out of it, the stronger the urge got. I couldnt get it out of my mind. I said, Ill go drop off the mail, come back around and if hes still out there, Ill offer. Talked myself out of it again, the urge came back overwhelming me. I finally said, ok God. I hear you. I got it! When I said that, a calm, peaceful feeling came over me. Well, I picked up a very thankful Mr. John Carson. He rides a bike to a town 30 miles from the town we live in to give blood for money to help him and his mom. They are both disabled. He said he had just finished praying for God to help him make it somewhere to get out of the weather and I showed up. We drove the 30 miles to our town and talked quite a bit. He wouldnt let me bring him all the way home because he lives in a pretty rough section of town. We pulled into a convenience store. He offered to buy me a beverage for the ride. I said, no thanks, but, Ill take a hug and a promise that you pay it forward whenever you can because thats what Im doing. God has blessed me in so many ways that I try to pay it forward any chance I get. A few minutes later, as soon as I opened the door to my house, the rains started coming down like crazy. I thanked God for holding it out and for getting through to me to help
