Wonderful lesson from Genesis yesterday in Sunday School. Noahs - TopicsExpress

Wonderful lesson from Genesis yesterday in Sunday School. Noahs ark can teach us so much about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His mercy, grace and salvation. * The Lord specified that Noahs ark was to be made of gopher wood only. Jesus isnt just any man. He was born the Son of God, by His own seed and born of a virgin. Our Savior was (and still is) very special indeed. Salvation requires a SUPERIOR man as sacrifice. Jesus was, is and will always be the ONLY Superior man, because He will always be the only SINLESS man. * God commanded that the ark be pitched within and without with pitch (hot tar) to seal the ark and prevent leaks. When we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are sealed until the day of redemption, by the Holy Spirit of God. Nothing can get in (satan) and nothing can get out (our salvation). * God commanded only one door to be made on the ark. Jesus is the door, He said. Jesus also said He is the way, the truth and the life. He is the only way to salvation, His Gospel is the complete truth and He is the only way to eternal life. Notice also that God closed the door to the ark, meaning that ONLY HE can open it. * God commanded a window to be made for the ark, but that it was to be placed on the top. When we have been delivered, we look up too, dont we? We should always look up: 1) we were commanded to look up in these last days, because we have seen the signs of His return and our redemption draws near! 2) we must KEEP our eyes on Jesus, just as Peter needed to do as he walked on the water, lest we sink beneath the waves of this world. 3) Look up and give Him praise! He is worthy! What a wonderful Savior is Jesus our Lord! He thought of everything!
