Wonderful news! We will be meeting Monday Aug. 11th 5pm, at the New Galleria. Our speaker will be Mr. Robin Bottomley. Robin a fellow Rotarian from Zimbabwe, whose club is in District 9210 which covers four countries – Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and northern Mozambique. Robin works on coal mining projects here in Northern Afghanistan and will share with us his experience of Rotary in Zimbabwe and their projects. Secondly, our packaged grant application, for a scholarship to a Kabuli scholar, to pursue an MSc degree at the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft, The Netherlands, has been approved by The Rotary Foundation. Thirdly, we are going to be doing some planning for our fall activities. These will include a Bowling Fundraiser, a Fruit Tree Fundraiser and perhaps a day at the Kabul Museum!
