Wonderful short 2min video in memory of Toto a chimpanzee that was snatched from Africa at birth and spent 26 years chained by the neck, living in a small crate, forced to smoke cigarettes and horribly abused. He had been castrated and his fang teeth removed. He had cigarette burns all over his body. He was malnourished and his remaining teeth were rotten. Thats when the Animal Defenders International stepped in and rescued him. It took several years and a concerted effort with legal authorities to effect the rescue and transport him to his new forever home back in Africa. He was integrated into a new family of chimps and he lived a wonderful rest of his life until his peaceful death this year.
