Wondering how many personal trainers/athletes/coaches havent updated their lactate (lactic acid) knowledge yet? Lactate does not create fatigue, in fact it may delay fatigue as lactate is a further source of fuel. Lactate also does not cause muscle burning, nor DOMS. Hydrogen ions are likely to be the culprit, and lactate also actually helps consume those. Lactic acid isnt actually the bad boy that it is made out to be. Im also aware that the old myths in respect to lactic acid are still being taught on personal trainer courses and even strength and conditioning courses. Hopefully this will help inform you if you werent aware, and also get you to check what you are being taught.
