Wondering if Java Junction is on its way out of business: Service is even worse than usual: staff are curt, distant, unfriendly, stressed; pastries are stale, inedible; coffee machine broken for more than a week (at a coffee house? really?); staff assert they cant make a Reuben unless the owner is present, what? Many items on the menu not available. And although signage says open until 2 p.m., at 1:55 p.m., we were asked to leave, so that their deposit could be taken to the bank, even though we were completing sandwiches (also stale) and drinks. From my vantage point, Java Junction looks like a business in trouble. It never has quite measured up, in my estimation. Not a friendly place, ever, in new location or in old, since present ownership took over. Hopefully someone will get a clue that decent food, coffee drinks and a little friendliness are not extras in a restaurant.
