Wonderwerk Cave in South Africa has been known to have provided shelter to humanoids for the past 2 million years. Recently, archeologists have recently unearthed proof of the earliest know use of controlled fire. These early campfires contain the remnants of million-year-old-meals; 200,000 years older than supported by previous discoveries, (think Homo erectus).
