Wont be subjecting myself to the blatant disregard for fire codes that I witnessed in my very first Thanksgiving shopping expedition last night, today or tomorrow. I reflected back following the hour long experience last night and decided that, that is not the way I choose to leave this world. Its not the fear of trampling or potential fist fights that prevents this, since I am very well capable of returning what may be offered in that kind of exchange. What did sit very heavy on my mind is the dis-regard of decades of fire and life safety codes. The locking of exit doors, the blocking off of exit aisles by the stores to *funnel* its highly wanted crowds into jammed up mazes, and even more issues to long to post here. It also saddened me more that still under the current administration in my County, the changes they made years ago to prevent Fire Marshals from insuring this does not happen is still in effect. Meaning Life Safety is a political agenda...not a protective one. Face it peeps, no-one is going to protect you...but you. No matter what a politician tells you, they want one thing, power and control. And as history tells us, the less people there are...the easier it is to control them.
