Woo woooo!! For the last 4 months or so I have been putting up with a whomp whomp whomp whomp humming/helicopter noise and vibration from the front end of my Turbo-X. It had progressed to a level that made driving the car a hellish experience for me and everyone on the road around me (noise-induced road rage). No one could give me an accurate diagnosis. The place I bought the tires from finally put it on the lift and drove it and told me three of my dear Turbo-X rims were bent. They also used a stethoscope to tell me my front driver side wheel bearing was making a little noise. Thankfully the rim repair guy told me to replace the wheel bearing first because holy hell its like a brand new car!! No noise. No vibration. Tracks straight. Amen. Before I picked it up I was on the way to the credit union to get a loan for an S60 because I couldnt take it any longer!! A/C and radio are OFF. That hideous sound is ALL wheel bearing noise.
