Woodland Beach fishing pier to close for paving repairs Nov. 21 DOVER (Nov. 20, 2014) – The fishing pier at Woodland Beach near Smyrna will be closed Friday, Nov.21 to allow contractors to complete parking lot repairs adjacent to the pier, DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife announced today. During this time, the parking lot and beach access will remain open. The project is expected to be complete, with full access restored to the fishing pier, by Saturday, Nov. 22, weather permitting.
