Woodlands Parkway Extension to 249 The Courier ran an article on this proposed project. Lots of quoted opinions pro and con but just that, opinions- no real facts. The media failed to report the County recently approved an engineering study to evaluate the need and options. We need to see what the study recommends. I have talked to Precinct 2 and they will talk to the Township before anything is cast in concrete Yes, we should be concerned with how much more traffic this extension might put on Woodlands Parkway as there is not much room to widen the western section of Woodlands Parkway beyond its current four lanes. Increasing the traffic going to the east will be a problem as we already have an AM peak problem But what is the need-- 1) increase eastern connectivity to Town Center, 2) increase connectivity to I45 or give our residents access to the new 249 toll road versus using I45? What is your opinion? Will you use the new 249 toll road as an alternative North-South connection into Houston?
