Woody is a 3 year old, 56.6 pound, unaltered male Lab mix that like so many others left out to wander, came to us as a stray. This is an all-around great dog that unfortunately has had a lack of training. Wood is a sweet, happy-go-lucky boy that just adores whoever has 5 minutes to spend with him. He isn’t really sure how to interact with you so he does jump up on you, but he does it so very gently! Sometimes he forgets how to walk on the least and will tangle you up in it. However; he is always extremely sorry when he does this! It would appear that rather than train him on how to not do these things, his previous owner just beat him instead! You see, when Woody makes a mistake his response is to drop to the ground and tightly close his eyes! This boy does a great job at keeping his kennel clean and unlike the other un-neutered dogs around here, he doesn’t hike his leg all over our building! Woody enjoys cuddle time and being talked to. He will put his paw on your leg and look expressively into your eyes as if to say “I understand”. With just a little training, Woody could easily be somebody’s ‘Lassie’, you see he is just Fabulous!! To help Woody find rescue and in hopes of safely getting him out of our facility, Woody is scheduled for a neutered on Thursday, Oct. 30th!
