Woohoo. December. We got there. By way of thanks, the powers that be will be giving the full time Carers amongst us, our annual, one off, Christmas Bonus. £10. I know. On top of the usual sixty quid a week. I wouldnt mention it as a rule, normally Id just blink and miss it. Only this year Tesco happen to have Champagne on offer for £8. Ill have £2 left over if I choose to indulge. Bugger it. Im doing it. Long live rebellion. Join me in my first toast (hold your horses its only 9.30) to the ignorant and judgemental amongst our British Taxpayers who help to make it possible for us to be Carers. For every time they moan about funding benefits, such as Carers Allowance - I thank them. They dont realise we save the powers that be, millions, upon millions every day that we crack on with it, many of us without any help other than the sixty quid a week they put a teeny, weeny bit towards as they begrudgingly pay their tax and spit venom. I thank them because I give up with them. Balls to em. You cant educate pork, as my Mother says. Often. We can only hope they never find themselves wondering what they should spend the £2 they have left over after buying an eight quid bottle of Champagne, to celebrate their £10 Christmas bonus for a job well done.
