More snow.😃😃😃😃😃😃 ------------------------ WINTER STORM WATCH for Lafayette, NJ Statement as of 5:00 am EST on January 25, 2015 ...Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning... * locations...much of the region from Interstate 78 northward to include the Lehigh Valley...Poconos and the northern third of New Jersey. * Hazard types...heavy snow with blowing and drifting. * Accumulations...snow accumulation of 6 to 16 inches. * Timing...snow develops early Monday morning and should slow the morning commute. The much more important portion of this storm begins sometime Monday afternoon or evening then eventually winds down Tuesday. Blowing and drifting will occur. * Impacts...could be a major impact on Commerce Monday night through Tuesday morning. * Winds...north 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * Temperatures...mostly in the 20s for this event. * Visibilities...one quarter to one half mile at times Monday night into Tuesday morning. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow...sleet...or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts. ------------------------ SPECIAL STATEMENT for Lafayette, NJ Statement as of 5:54 am EST on January 25, 2015 ..untreated surfaces may be icy this morning... If driving or stepping outdoors on moist pavement, be alert and cautious. Slow down as icy spots can lead to unsafe travel. Be extra careful on bridges and other elevated surfaces as they tend to be colder. In addition, wet parking lots and sidewalks were becoming icy early this morning.
