Woohoo! Now its official: I just declared as an English Major! I intend to declare as a Double Major in the Fall by adding Interdisciplinary Studies Field, (ISF), which does not accept majors in the summer. For ISF, students design their own course curriculum, with approval of the ISF advisor. If I am able to add that major, it requires a 30-40 page senior thesis(!). For ISF, I will be pulling from at least three departments or programs (part of the requirement). At this writing, those include Philosophy, Celtic Studies, Buddhist Studies, Religious Studies, Anthropology, Psychology, Chinese, and Medieval Studies. As a working title for the senior thesis, Im thinking, Self and Consciousness, Mythology and Religion. If all goes according to plan, (my evil plan for world domination), I will be able to Study Abroad next year. My short list of destinations include Singapore, Hong Kong and New Zealand. Wow! God, grant me strength, perseverance, diligence, and rectitude. A long discipline in the same direction. This is my challenge.
