Woolaston Under Fives is a charity playgroup run by a paid staff and overseen by a voluntary committee. We are looking to employ a manager. The position is for 28 hours a week over 5 days, term time only, to start in September. Rate of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience. Duties to include: The day to day running of the setting. Leading and managing the staff. Monitoring training needs of all staff and implementing the same. Overseeing the planning to encompass all areas of learning and individual needs. Planning activities, arranging resources and over-seeing the daily routine. Inducting, supervising and appraising the staff. Liasing with parents, carers, other external professionals and the committee. The manager will be supported by an administrator. The ideal candidate will: - Hold NVQ level 4 or above in Early Years. E.Y.P.S is desired but not essential for the role. Have a solid knowledge of EYPS principles is an absolute requirement and experience is vital for this demanding role. Understand all matters relating to OFSTED and the necessary policies and procedures. The candidate must be a team player with the ability to involve all members of staff and the committee. Personal qualities will include a sense of humour and fun. A positive and caring approach to children and families is a must.
