Woot woot! Countdown is on! Shawls of Safety fundraiser for Marlene Bird here in Orillia is coming together pretty dang good. Confirmed is my beloved sister Tantoo Cr Cardinall who will be our Master of Ceremony. Live entertainment consists of some pretty fabulous drummers and musicians, Brock Stonefish, Darcy Good, Darlene LaGault, Manitou MKWA Singers, Ned Benson, Robbie Antone and Sarah Stinson. A huge thanks to our volunteer crew Charmaine Kewageshig, Dawn Ireland-Noganosh, Barbara Manitowabi, Andrea Lee-Burnet, Patricia Watts and Barb Gales for all the work you have done to put everything into perspective and making all of this possible. Thanks so much for not only loving and caring for Marlene, but, all women who are victims of violence. It is great to include the two womens shelters here in Orillia, just knowing that we can help them in our small way.
