Word has been received of the passing of Ted Bero, a former alumnus of the college and former Lieutenant and Patrol Officer of the Ladysmith Police Department from the early 1980s through early 2000s . After leaving the force, he worked for Weathershield for several years, until his diagnois with cancer. Ted had fought his battle with cancer for many of years afterward. Ted was a very calm and laid back person and got along well with just about everyone. He will be sadly missed. Condolences go out to his spouse Missy who worked primarily in the registrars office and outreach as well as being a student at the college.
