Word of Advice To Pastors of Young Preachers: Just dont identify their calling and gifts. Before you appoint, license or ordain; develop, train, give space to operate under your eye of scrutiny, make judgement calls on their performance, celebrate their progress and strengths. Also correct their errors, discipline when necessary, sit them down if called for - YOUR CREDIBILITY IS ON THE LINE BOTH WITH YOUR CONGREGATION, COMMUNITY, AND WITH THE YOUNG PREACHER! They become the STANDARDS you set or DO NOT SET! What you permit, you promote! Pastors much of the mess we see today among young preachers is because you permitted it when you should have and could have prevented it. You can set standards, and require order without crushing their spirits while killing their flesh. Those who know the voice of Jesus will follow, the others will have to deal with the consequences of disobeying and refusal to submit.
