Word of God Shared by Br. Manuel on August 6, 2014 * Seeking God? God is not hiding from His children or is He? God cannot find you, because we are not seeking Him. God is looking for us and God will find us, if we only seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 says - But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. If we seek God with all our hearts, God will find us. Just like the parable of the Prodigal son, while he was yet at a distance, his father saw him and had compassion and ran and embraced him and kissed him this is what God will do if you seek Him diligently, God will walk one more mile than what you have walked to find you. Jesus said, “Seek, and you will find” (Matthew 7:7). What is it that Jesus is asking us to seek? A good life, a good wife, a good job? No. It is the presence of God Himself in our lives! * Seeking Gods presence in our lives? Having the presence of God in our lives is very important, and we can do that if we acknowledge God in everything we do. Most of us only seek God on a sabbath once a week, and the rest of the days we keep God away in a box. We cannot ignore God, as the book of Thessalonians says, pray without ceasing all the time, praying all the time creates an attitude of consciousness and helps us to build our character. We cannot get upset, worry, discouraged by the mountains in our lives, in fact we must continue to pray and acknowledge God in everything. Acknowledging God in every small way in our lives, gives us the grace to fight every battle in our lives. But my brothers and sister seeking is a matter of paying attention with an engaged mind and acute awareness. One place to seek/find Him is His Word. So read, meditate, digest His Word and may you catch a glimpse of His glory today! Live in the Spirit.
