Wordplay Wednesday – The Name Game Welcome to Wednesday’s wordplay, Puzzlers. There was only really one topic we could choose this week – boys’ names. Now, why would that be? How many boys’ names can you find hidden in the passage below? In the British Isles lie many areas with drab, dull weather, so the arrival of the sun is a cause of great celebration and is treated as a boon – the reward we await through months of winter. To my mind, while wishing for summer, this has paled into insignificance with the frenzied antics recently concerning this supernormal achievement: flip-flops and yellow shorts, though I won’t risk it, are the uniform of the day! Though let’s be fair, a glimpse of the sun can’t be negative: it’s granted that the sun, for ever and all, ensures our future, and provides a belief in the future. Dear sun, I announce my regards.
