Words are precious things, and should be cherished, trusted and - TopicsExpress

Words are precious things, and should be cherished, trusted and held in esteem. As powerful as words are actions are so much more powerful, especially when the actions are in direct contradictions to the words previously spoken. The hypocritical dynamic when our words and actions are contrary has enormous energy and does not go away lightly like a puff of smoke. The energy, the power, the actions and the words tonight will be part of our history, our national fabric, or good or ill. This is why we are drawn to watch it, to observe this historic event of preposterously tragic details. This is also why people cannot understand to any degree, how you can battle perceived injustice by looting and burning. How on one hand can you say we want justice for everyone, then burn stores and riot in the streets and expect the nation to see anything but hatred, lawlessness, and with no moral virtue at all. How too can a President get on national TV and state we are a nation of laws and we must respect those laws when about 72 hours prior he stated as President he had the authority not to enforce certain laws. His words rang empty, even to the throngs which would normally hang on every word. Is it any wonder no one paid attention to this President when he asked for peace, because he had not held his words in esteem, and his actions are completely contrary to the words he spoke.
