Words could never express how much your birthday wishes and kind congrats for being selected Teacher of the Year for W. T. Lewis have meant to me this week. Each one of them have blessed my heart in more ways than you could ever imagine. So now I would like to simply say, Thank you.... First, I would like to give credit where credit is due. and that is to acknowledge my parents, Paul and Betty Williams, (aka Nana and Papa). Thank you for all you did for me as a child to instill the importance of character, morals, and a work ethic. For that, I am forever grateful and strive daily to live that out in my life. Second, I would like to thank Greg Avery, Emily Anne Avery, and Anna Kate Avery for ALWAYS supporting me and being so understanding of the demands and expectations that are funneled down to teachers today...especially on the days when the laundry is piled high, and I dont have a clue what we are going to eat for supper that night! Third, I would like to thank my amazing administration, Lisa McKee Burns and Jody Kaiser, along with my wonderful colleagues, for selecting me to represent one of the top 25 public schools in the state of Louisiana as the 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year. We have so many deserving teachers on our faculty, and I appreciate your confidence in trusting that I will represent our school with my whole heart and WHOLE BRAIN. Hehe!! Finally, I would like to thank all of the students and their families, past and present, that I have had the privilege of impacting. The fact that many lifelong friendships have been made simply because a first, second, or third grader was placed in my class may have never happened otherwise. So.... from my WHOLE HEART, I say, Thank you once again! #blessed #thankful #honored
