Words of Wisdom 1 Jhn 2:26 - These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. (v. 27) But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (v. 28) And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. The Apostle Paul brings charges against and accuses these seducers who had newly arisen. They are liars and opposers of sacred truth: [Who is a liar or the liar], the notorious liar of the time and age in which we live, but he that denieth that (Yashiya) Jesus is the Christ? The great and pernicious lies that the father of lies, or of liars, spreads in the world, were of old, and usually are, falsehoods and errors relating to the person of Christ. There is no truth so sacred and fully attested but some or other will contradict or deny it. That (Yashiya) Jesus of Nazareth was the Son of God had been attested by heaven, and earth, and hell. It should seem that some, in the tremendous judgment of God, are given up to strong delusions. They are grimmest enemies to God as well as to the Lord Christ: The spirit of antichrist lays on all those who denieth the Father and the Son. Those that oppose Christ deny the witness and testimony of the Father, and the seal (Holy Spirit) that he hath given to his Son; for him the Most High hath sealed. Believers have received an enlightening blessing from heaven: But the anointing which you have received from him abideth in you. True Christians have an [inward confirmation] of divine truth they have absorbed: the Holy Spirit has [engraved it in their minds and upon their hearts. It is meet that the Lord (Yashiya) Jesus should have a constant witness in the hearts of his disciples. The [unction – oil], the pouring out of the gifts of grace upon [sincere disciples], is a seal to the truth and Doctrine of Christ (Heb 6: 1-3), since none giveth that seal but the Most High. Now he who establish us with you (and you with us) in Christ, and hath anointed us, is the Most High (2 Cor 1:21).
