Words of encouragement: I told my family last night that I thought I would declare today as International Positive Comment Day. Have you ever noticed how a positive comment or a smile can change another persons day--perhaps, not the whole day, but at least for that moment? I LOVE to encourage people to laugh and smile. It literally thrills my heart, especially if it is at my own expense. I know I am goofy at times, and I know I live in a goofy household. The truth is we all need positive reinforcement to make our days more pleasant. We all need to be needed and loved. We all need to be shown respect and compassion. While some may disagree, I believe those things are basic needs for a healthy outlook on life. Our Christ shows the most beautiful examples of all of those blessings. He held the little children in His arms. His medical touch healed both heart and body. He walked into homes and ate with the less desirable. Most importantly, He carried His love for you and for me to the cross, the grave, and all the way to Heaven. Sometimes it is necessary to say a negative comment in order for positive results. However I am going to try to see how many positive comments I can say today. I truly love you all, and I mean that statement. You are not just little pics that show up on my friends list. You are people in my heart. You have a 5 star reservation in my heart, and you checked into the room. I am so very thankful you did. Now my next post will be a funny one. Stay tuned for later today. I plan to tell you when my daddy accidentally took our dog Sammys heartworm pill (years ago). Shhhh--we dont talk about it. Enjoy your day, and remember dear loved ones, you are loved.
