Words to be proud of. What happened to us. We used to be a people who stood on our own 2 feet, who helped our friends and neighbors. We were industrious and created the modern manufacturing process that are still used today. we believed in the civil rights of others. We didnt have to agree with our friends and neighbors but respected there right to think and do as they saw fit. Our legislature meet for a few months every 2 years. They didnt force us to pay for stupid things like a soda tax or try to run our very lives. Most of all they didnt violate there oaths and defended the Vermont Constitution. Remember the past and find the people who will keep that oath today
