Work Experience with Hackney Council London Borough of Hackney Planning Service is looking for a Sustainability student or recent graduate wanting work experience in a local authority. This is a voluntary placement, starting end of August for 12 weeks, and will include expenses. Hackney Council is looking for an intern for the Conservation, Urban Design and Sustainability Team. It will involve: • Building a comprehensive database of the sustainable infrastructure within Hackney. • Assisting in developing and implementing a system for on-going monitoring of the sustainability of future applications. • Carrying out a GIS mapping exercise on all previous and proposed installations. • Understanding and monitoring the current status of the installed infrastructure, primarily CHP systems Attributes: • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) preferably experience building databases. • GIS mapping. • Attention to detail. • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
