Work is getting underway on the second phase of the £40m Connswater Community Greenway. It has just been announced that Farrans has been awarded the multi-million pound contract for Phase 2 of the greenway which will see the construction of the remaining 13kms of walking and cycling paths to both Cregagh Glen and the Braniel, a C.S. Lewis-themed civic square at Holywood Arches, improvements to rivers and new flood defences, new and improved bridges and crossings, and new play areas at Avoniel and Loop River Parks.
