Work is nearly complete on another Chicken Coop. This Coop was re-designed from the Green house that was built earlier this year. We found a great find with the old nesting boxes. Those will be installed in the new coop. Work starts early and ends late on the coop we have to be ready.....we have 40 more chicks arriving early next week. (10 are for Deannas hen house for eggs only...and the other 30 are to add to the ones we have thus far.) Our current set of 32 chickens are doing really well and seem happy and friendly. ~~ It seems the best time to buy plants, is now. We found some really good trees, and bushes all 1/2 off! Now its just a matter of elbow grease to get the flower bed prepped for planting. The sunflowers are starting to bloom, the garden is looking good, and the peanuts we had doubts with, are blossoming well! The tomatoes are staked using creativity & the help of cattle panels and Alexis and Larissa. The weather has been cool, in the 50s in the mornings - but no complaints from us - its nicer to work outside in the cooler weather. The summer kitchen is finally fully painted! Woo hoo, we were able to take down the scaffolding.... Always working - Living on the Farm
