Work often takes me inside the local jail where people and the atmosphere are understandably grim, Every once in awhile I have to entertain myself!.. Im heading towards the exit in the jail Friday and an inmate starts yelling. He is often a loud obnoxious individual usually showing off for his cellmates. I turned and put my finger to my lips as if to say shhh quiet down (not sure why, I just thought it was funny and he quieted right down)... so this inmate with bed-head hair pointing in every direction, missing teeth, and looking every bit like a crazed serial killer says,.. Hey man you still teach those classes?, can I get in?..i knew exactly what he was asking about. But, I quickly responded with a sincere face. COSMETOLOGY, sure ill check into that for you. He says Yeah thanks.... (brief silence then he yells) wait, I meant the Cognitive class! as I walked away smiling. I will help the guy but sometimes you have to entertain yourself and smile at work!
