Join us to embark on a lifestyle changing career.December 10, 2013 (Tuesday)New York, NYNew York Marriott Eastside525 Lexington Avenue at 49th StreetNew York, NY 10017The Presentations will begin at: 10am OR 3pmInterviews will immediately follow.We are currently searching for Housekeeping positions based onboard our ship on the seas ofHawaii.STATEROOM STEWARD:POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for the daily servicing and cleaning of guest staterooms on a prompt and professional basis, and in accordance with the company’s highest standards as outlined.In order to consistently exceed guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and services, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSWorks as a team member.Good attitude.Some oral and written communication skills.Ensures maximum efficiency by performing duties in a team effort manner, meeting or exceeding set cleaning standards.Through daily servicing of staterooms, provides frequent contact and service to guests in a warm, friendly and polite manner at all times and under all circumstances.Clean and tidy assigned staterooms, suites, hallways, bathrooms, etcPerform other duties as assigned.LAUNDRY:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEnsures the correct sorting of linens and towels, stain removal and “reject procedures, washing, drying and folding of laundry.Responsible for the cleanliness of work areas and machinery.Responsible for the storing, cleaning and distribution of all linens, towels, table linens, costumes, guest/crew laundry and dry cleaning, includes washing, spot cleaning, dry cleaning, pressing, folding and properly preparing items for return to operations to guest/crew.Sorts soiled linen on the basis of linen type, article type, and soil type.Handles stain removal and “reject procedures by performing pre-and-post treatment of stains.Performs proper washing and dry cleaning procedures in accordance to machine instructions and care requirements.Provides assistance to stateroom stewards during turn around day by collecting the soiled linens and towels from guest staterooms if necessary.JOB REQUIREMENTSYou must have a minimum of 1 year current/recent/relevant experience to any of the positions listed in our description above.You must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GEDYou must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and qualify for a U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC).You must be at least 18 years of age.You must Pass Physical Exam/Drug Screen.You must have a Reasonably Clear Background.You must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
