Workers in West Africa are at high risk of contracting the deadly Ebola virus. Living in danger zones and working with the public as nurses, market vendors or domestic employees, their daily lives now carry a threat to their health. Women are especially vulnerable to exposure, working to support their family and caring for sick family members at home. Ebola could strike as many as 1.4 million people in the next few months. African unions are stepping up to help fight the spread of the disease and protect workers trying to save lives. Help support trade unions in West Africa by donating to the Solidarity Center’s West Africa Ebola Emergency Fund.
