Workers must have a voice in policy-making: Rahul Gandhi. Congress Vice President, Mr Rahul Gandhi today interacted with labour and street vendor representatives as part of manifesto consultation process. Addressing the representatives, Mr Gandhi said, “All political parties are closed. Their internal processes are closed. They don’t allow you to be partners. We have to change this. This cannot be done without restructuring the Congress party.” Mr Gandhi talked about creating a “safety net” for the 70 crore lower income group people that will prevent them from falling into poverty and facilitate their rise into the middle class.
